Welcome to the Recognition Issue!

Welcome to the WRA’s annual recognition issue of Wisconsin Real Estate Magazine, where we commemorate, congratulate and celebrate REALTORS^® who commit to making their customers and clients, their colleagues, their neighbors, their communities, their state and themselves better.

A great association is determined by its members. An impactful association is determined by those who join but, more importantly, by those who volunteer to lead the organization. In the pages that follow, we recognize those REALTOR® leaders who have stepped up to make our organization, their local communities and this state better!

Nowhere is this commitment more evident than by those members who have devoted their time, energy and talents to assume leadership positions in the WRA. We recognize the WRA officer team, led by chairman of the board Steve Beers, along with the WRA executive committee and board of directors who give their time and share their talent to set the vision and strategy for our organization.

This commitment is also exemplified by those members who recognize the effect that laws and regulations have on our profession and industry and thus support the WRA’s advocacy efforts through major financial investments in the REALTORS^® Political Action Committee (RPAC). These funds support candidates for public office who support REALTOR^® issues and property owner rights. When combined with members who communicate regularly with their elected officials in Washington, D.C., Madison and local communities across the state, these major contributors help create the regulatory environment within which our industry can thrive.

Great associations also work to improve the professionalism of their members in order to better serve their customers and clients. To this end, we recognize those members who have invested in themselves by earning professional designations and serve as a model for others to do the same. And for REALTORS^® whose children are bettering themselves in pursuit of post-high school education, we recognize those individuals who received college scholarships from the Wisconsin REALTORS^® Foundation.

To these members, and the many other award winners in this magazine, you have our most sincere admiration and heartfelt thanks. Your leadership and commitment makes our organization special and impactful — and worth emulating. Congratulations one and all.
