The key to competitive home pricing is becoming proficient at comparative market analyses. In the Pricing Strategies: Mastering the CMA course, you will learn how to evaluate the existing real estate market to take the guesswork out of pricing homes.

Course topics
You'll learn these topics and many more:

  • CMA building blocks: Describe key market value concepts and industry standards that apply to the preparation of a CMA. 
  • Getting started and selecting comparables: Recognize and overcome challenges to selecting the best comparables
  • Combining facts and numbers: Distinguish between cost- and market-based adjustment approaches and select the most appropriate approach. 
  • Preparing the CMA: Prepare a CMA document that provides the level of detail and depth of analysis required by the buyer or seller.
  • Presenting the CMA: Present the CMA to the buyer or seller and explain rationale for pricing recommendations.
  • Working with appraisers: Develop skills for working constructively with appraisers and clients through the appraisal process.

  • Credits: Qualifies for one GRI live elective course credit and qualifies as ABR elective course credit when working toward the ABR designation. Does not qualify for CE credit.
