Tom Larson Received 2017 WRA Staff Excellence Award

WRA Senior Vice President for Legal and Public Affairs Tom Larson was selected by his peers to receive the 2017 WRA Staff Excellence Award. Tom has been with the association’s legal and legislative team for 19 years, serving as chief lobbyist for the past six years.

In an office packed with dedicated, hardworking and smart teammates, Tom stands out. His legal and legislative expertise is demonstrated in the unparalleled successes in passing laws that benefit our members and property owners in Wisconsin over the past two decades. But the attributes that make him an outstanding colleague are the characteristics his coworkers said about him, which include: a can-do attitude and always friendly disposition; a universal willingness to help anyone with anything; one who finds something positive in everything; always exudes professionalism; has a work ethic second to none. If you know Tom, you know these all to be true. I’m proud to call him my colleague and even prouder to call him my friend.

This award is named after our late colleague Gale Foster, who served as the WRA vice president for finance, human resources and operations for over 30 years. Gale passed away in 2012. The inscription on the award reads: “In recognition of exceptional staff performance consistent with the life and tenure of WRA Vice President Gale P. Foster, who set the standard for professionalism, character, dedication and friendship for all current and future WRA staff.”
