Project Color App - Article Size
Helping a client realize the potential in a home can be a very difficult task. As a listing agent, you encourage your seller clients to “neutralize” their colors and décor in their home to make it more appealing to would-be buyers. Unfortunately, not all sellers take the time to make their home “showing ready,” so it is often up the REALTOR® to help their buyer clients to see past the vibrant colors, personal décor and clutter to visualize what the home could look like with some personal touches and TLC.

But words only go so far. Often buyers who would prefer a move-in-ready home have trouble picturing future improvements, even simple ones like paint color. The Project Color app from Home Depot can help you to take some of the unknown out of the equation and actually show your buyers a glimpse of the future. And for your seller clients, this app can go a long way in helping to convince them the value in repainting their home prior to putting it on the market.

Project Color allows users to view different paint colors on the walls of any room with one touch. The app walks you through three easy steps toward finding the perfect paint color.

See It
Upload an existing photo already on your device, take a photo right from the app, or use the “live view” function and view the room in video mode.

Match It
Trying to coordinate with a particular furniture piece or other décor? Or maybe you fell in love with the color of the walls in your favorite restaurant. Simply take a picture, and the app will automatically match that color to a paint color and you can easily scroll through the entire color family to find the perfect one.

Find It
Already have a color scheme or specific color in mind? Search the thousands of available Home Depot paint colors by keyword or number in seconds.

Project Color offers extremely realistic reproductions of what the end result of a painting project would look like by accurately detecting lines, shadows and inconsistencies in lighting.

No more trying to convince buyers that the master suite would look so much better without the bright red accent wall – just show them! Stop describing to your sellers how much bigger their great room would look with a lighter color on the walls – let them see for themselves!

Project Color is available for free for iOS and Android.
